Quote

Be yourself around others.

The biggest assumption that humans make is that everyone sees life the way we do.
we assume that others think the way we think,
feel the way we feel,
 judge the we judge,
and abuse the way we abuse,
we are afraid to be ourselves around others because we think others will judge us,
victimise us, abuse us,
and blame us as we do ourselves

5 best places to see a werewolf

3: Tallinn, Estonia
Poor old Hans just 18 when he was tried for being a werewolf in Tallinn in the 17th century and found guilty of the crime. Hans confessed it all but his confession might have had something to do with the thumbscrews and other implements of torture favoured by the Baltic authorities at the time.

Nelson Mandela

The death of Nelson Mandela has affected an array of people throughout the world. The 95-year-old civil rights leader was more than the face of post-Apartheid South Africa, he was the embodiment of a movement that asked for basic human dignity regardless of colour or creed.

Honoured throughout his life for his works with HIV/AIDS, social justice, and poverty, the Nobel Peace Prize winner also touched many in the world of fashion.
Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela (18 July 1918 – 5 December 2013) was a South African anti-apartheid revolutionary as well as a politician and philanthropist who served as President of South Africa from 1994 to 1999.

In April 1959, militant Africanists dissatisfied with the ANC's united front approach founded the Pan-African Congress (PAC); Mandala's friend Robert Sobukwe was elected president, though Mandela thought the group "immature". Both parties campaigned for an anti-pass campaign in May 1960, in which Africans burned the passes that they were legally obliged to carry. One of the PAC-organised demonstrations was fired upon by police, resulting in the deaths of 69 protesters in the Sharpeville massacre. In solidarity, Mandela publicly burned his pass as rioting broke out across South Africa, leading the government to proclaim martial law. Under the State of Emergency measures, Mandela and other activists were arrested on 30 March, imprisoned without charge in the unsanitary conditions of the Pretoria Local prison, while the ANC and PAC were banned in April. This made it difficult for their lawyers to reach them, and it was agreed that the defence team for the Treason Trial should withdraw in protest. Representing themselves in court, the accused were freed from prison when the state of emergency was lifted in late August. Mandela used his free time to organise an All-In African Conference near Pietermaritzburg, Natal, in March, at which 1,400 anti-apartheid delegates met, agreeing on a stay-at home protest to mark 31 May, the day South Africa became a republic. On 29 March 1961, after a six-year trial, the judges produced a verdict of not guilty, embarrassing the government.

Mandela died of a lung infection on 5 December 2013 at his home in Houghton, Johannesburg. He was 95 years of age and surrounded by his family. His death was announced by President Jacob Zuma. On 6 December Zuma announced a national mourning period of ten days, with the main event being an official memorial service to be held at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg on 10 December 2013. Mandala's body will lie in state from 11 to 13 December at the Union Buildings in Pretoria and a state funeral will be held on 15 December 2013 in Qunu.

Paul Walker

I know this post is a bit late but its here anyhow i would like to remember Paul Walker in pictures.

Paul William Walker IV[4]
(September 12, 1973 – November 30, 2013) was an American actor.

On November 30, 2013, at approximately 3:30 p.m. PST, Walker and friend Roger Roda's, age 38, left an event for Walker's charity Reach Out Worldwide for victims of Typhoon Haiyan in Roda's red 2005 Porsche Carrera GT. After leaving the event, the car crashed into a light pole and tree on Hercules Street near Kelly Johnson Parkway in Valencia, Santa Clarita, California, after which the vehicle burst into flames. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department declared both victims dead at the scene. Roda's died of multiple traumatic injuries, while Walker died of the combined effects of traumatic and thermal injuries, according to the Los Angeles county coroner's office.

BOOK: The Death and Life Of Charlie ST Cloud

The death and life of charlie st cloud

Charlie St. Cloud has been given the gift of seeing his deceased brother, but when a new love interest is in trouble he must choose between saving a life or continuing to see his brother everyday.

This film is best served with a bottle of wine and loads of tissues!
Its defiantly a tear jerker, i welled up a few times.
I liked the film its a sloppy romance.
But the book is very different obviously more detail but still very different.

Don't you just hate it when the don't make them the same?!

FILM: The Family

As you all know i am not good at doing reviews so we will just talk about it my way.

The family
The Manzoni family a notorious mafia clan is relocated to Normandy, France under the witness protection program, where fitting in soon becomes challenging as their old habits die hard.

My thoughts: This is a good film over all. I love it when the lady asks for peanut butter and then ends up blowing up the store, another good bit is when the plumber comes and he ends up beating the shit out of him then taking him to the hospital.
The only problem with this film is it just ends!
After a huge fight it just ends, I was disappointed.

FILM: Olympus Has Fallen

I am not good at reviews really so i will just talk about it my way.

Olympus Has Fallen.
Disgraced former Presidential guard Mike Banning finds himself trapped inside the White House in the wake of a terrorist attack; using his inside knowledge, Banning works with national security to rescue the President from his kidnappers.

What i had to say about it:
What a great film it had me sweating and on the edge of my seat.
The best for me was it didn't hold back on the blood and guts which is good and their is no sloppy love story its just kill, kill, kill.

Let me just say as well Gerard Butler has never looked soon hotter.

Book: Autobiographies

This year i have read a lot of autobiographies they have all been great but they do have their faults.

1: Michael Fassbender: The Biography by Jim Melony

This book is good easy readying and outlines the achievements in his life the learning curves he had to go threw. I read it in 2 days.

2: That's another story by Julia Walters

I was very disappointed in this book all she writes about is her endless piss ups and her kids that's all good and well but we want to see and learn how you where you where today. I read this book in 2 days, very disappointed.

3: Its been emotional by Vinnie Jones

When i first thought about reading this book i was not excited about because i didn't want to ready about football at all so i got my feller to read it first (he is a slow reader took him 2 weeks) but he came back and said it was not all about football so i took a chance on it and read it myself and he was right its a great book he doesn't hide anything and he is very honest. I read it in 2 days.

4: In the frame by Helen mirren

This ladies life in pictures is amazing but her life in words is very dull, but her boyfriend choices are good (Liam neeson) I didn't take me long to read this book i mainly looked at the great pictures.

5: Lorraine pascal: Supermodel chef by sue Blackhall

Firstly before i start this is not going to be a good. This book is the biggest loads of shit i have ever read! This lady is a great chef i have her cook book but this biography is awe full you learn nothing about her it isn't written by her and its not a warm book its like she is being talked about in the third person. I gave up after a couple of chapters not a good book.

Poem: Fly Away

Fly away, be free!

Find peace, taste the air of freedom and warm us with the morning sun! Kiss me goodnight with the moonlight on my wet cheeks.
When I’m falling, lend me one of your wings, so my soul won’t crash into pieces, that nobody wants anymore.
You will be flying amongst the strongest winds and swimming with the most powerful and brutal waves…
You won’t feel no pain, no sorrow, No blood or tears, No scars or fears.
When I’m lonely and scared, I ask you to lie down next to me and warm my cold hands with your loving breath.
If I give up, crashed by reality and forced onto the ground, shaking and bleeding — you just come and take me in your arms, healing me with your angelic whisper.
It will echo through my whole body, which will heal my heart and I’ll be saved.
At times when I’m happy and everything is good, still walk with me — taste my laughter, and my happiness. When it’s time for me to go — I’ll go…
Somewhere, beyond this time and my imagination, I’ll be given those wings of peace.
I promise we will fly again! Side by side, into freedom and happiness!
So when it’s time for me to go,
I’ll go …

So i am not a great fan of her acting but i am a fan of her style here are few outfits i like.

Fashion And Clothing Books

Hi guys over the past couple of days i have bought a few books on clothing and about the fashion industry although i know quiet a bit there is always plenty more to learn.
Here's the book i have bought.

I got this off Ebay for £11.48 also postage was free and i saved £6.34 Bargain

I got this off Ebay aswell for 99p plus £2 postage another great bargain

One for the Ladies

1: The elbow is the strongest point on your body. If you are close enough to use it, DO.

2: If  robber asks you for your bag DO NOT HAND IT TO HIM toss it away from you...He is probley more interested in your bag than you are, when he goes for the bag run like mad in the other direction.

3: If you are ever thrown into the boot of a car kick out the back tail lights and stick your arm threw the hole and start waving. The driver wont see you but everyone else will.

4: Woman have a tendency to get into their cars after shopping, eating DON'T DO THIS a predator could be watching. As soon as you get into your car lock the doors and leave.

5: A few notes about getting into your car in a car park
A: Be wear look around you, look into your car, look on the passenger side floor and the back seat.
B: If you are parked next to a big van enter your car from the passenger door.
C: Look at the cars parked on either of the car if there is a male sitting alone in the seat nearest to your car go back inside and ask a guard to walk you back out. Better to be paranoid than dead.

6: Always take the lift instead of the stairs. Stairwells are horrible places to be alone and the perfect crime spot.

7: If the predator has a gun and you are not under his control ALWAYS RUN! The predator will only hit you 4 in 100 times and even then its most likely will not be a vital organ.

These come directly from the police weather it works or not is a different matter.

Another one for the Ladies

It was early and a young girl stopped to get petrol, she filled up her tank and walked into the store to pay, The cashier told her
"Don't pay for your petrol yet walk around the store a while and act as if your picking up some other stuff to buy, a man has just got into the back of your car. I have called the police they are on there way".

When the police arrived they found the man on the back seat of the car and asked him what he was doing he replied he was joining a gang and his initiation was to kidnap a woman and bring her back to the gang to be raped by every member of the gang, if the woman was still alive by the time they where finished with her then they would let her go.

According to the police a new gang is forming originating from London.
The scary part is because the guy didnt have a weapon on him the police could only charge him for trespassing. He is back on the street and free to try again.

I am learning to drive myself and this just made me think the police have let out a few ways for a woman to keep her self safe.

Check the next post.

Gift For The Wife.

ONLY A MAN WOULD ATTEMPT THIS

Just try reading this without laughing till you cry!!!

Pocket Tazer Stun Gun, a great gift for the wife.

A guy who purchased his lovely wife a pocket Tazer for their anniversary submitted this:

Last weekend I saw something at Larry's Pistol & Pawn Shop that sparked my interest. The occasion was our 15th anniversary and I was looking for a little something extra fo
r my wife Julie. What I came across was a 100,000-volt, pocket/purse-sized Tazer.

The effects of the Tazer were supposed to be short lived, with no long term adverse affect on your assailant, allowing her adequate time to retreat to safety...??

WAY TOO COOL! Long story short, I bought the device and brought it home... I loaded two AAA batteries in the darn thing and pushed the button. Nothing! I was disappointed. I learned, however, that if I pushed the button and pressed it against a metal surface at the same time, I'd get the blue arc of electricity darting back and forth between the prongs.

AWESOME!!! Unfortunately, I have yet to explain to Julie what that burn spot is on the face of her microwave.

Okay, so I was home alone with this new toy, thinking to myself that it couldn't be all that bad with only two AAA batteries, right?

There I sat in my recliner, my cat Gracie looking on intently (trusting little soul) while I was reading the directions and thinking that I really needed to try this thing out on a flesh & blood moving target.

I must admit I thought about zapping Gracie (for a fraction of a second) and then thought better of it. She is such a sweet cat. But, if I was going to give this thing to my wife to protect herself against a mugger, I did want some assurance that it would work as advertised.

Am I wrong?

So, there I sat in a pair of shorts and a tank top with my reading glasses perched delicately on the bridge of my nose, directions in one hand, and Tazer in another.

The directions said that:

a one-second burst would shock and disorient your assailant;

a two-second burst was supposed to cause muscle spasms and a major loss of bodily control; and

a three-second burst would purportedly make your assailant flop on the ground like a fish out of water.

Any burst longer than three seconds would be wasting the batteries.

All the while I'm looking at this little device measuring about 5" long, less than 3/4 inch in circumference (loaded with two itsy, bitsy AAA batteries); pretty cute really, and thinking to myself, 'no possible way!'

What happened next is almost beyond description, but I'll do my best.

I'm sitting there alone, Gracie looking on with her head cocked to one side so as to say, 'Don't do it stupid,' reasoning that a one second burst from such a tiny Lil ole thing couldn't hurt all that bad.. I decided to give myself a one second burst just for heck of it.

I touched the prongs to my naked thigh, pushed the button, and...

HOLY MOTHER OF GOD. WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION. WHAT THE... !!!

I'm pretty sure Hulk Hogan ran in through the side door, picked me up in the recliner, then body slammed us both on the carpet, over and over and over again. I vaguely recall waking up on my side in the fetal position, with tears in my eyes, body soaking wet, both nipples on fire, testicles nowhere to be found, with my left arm tucked under my body in the oddest position, and tingling in my legs! The cat was making meowing sounds I had never heard before, clinging to a picture frame hanging above the fireplace, obviously in an attempt to avoid getting slammed by my body flopping all over the living room.

Note:
If you ever feel compelled to 'mug' yourself with a Tazer,
one note of caution:

There is NO such thing as a one second burst when you zap yourself! You will not let go of that thing until it is dislodged from your hand by a violent thrashing about on the floor!
A three second burst would be considered conservative!

A minute or so later (I can't be sure, as time was a relative thing at that point), I collected my wits (what little I had left), sat up and surveyed the landscape.

My bent reading glasses were on the mantel of the fireplace.
· The recliner was upside down and about 8 feet or so from where it originally was.
· My triceps, right thigh and both nipples were still twitching..
· My face felt like it had been shot up with Novocain, and my bottom lip weighed 88 lbs.
· I had no control over the drooling.
· Apparently I had crapped in my shorts, but was too numb to know for sure, and my sense of smell was gone.
· I saw a faint smoke cloud above my head, which I believe came from my hair.
I'm still looking for my testicles and I'm offering a significant reward for their safe return!

PS: My wife can't stop laughing about my experience, loved the gift and now regularly threatens me with it!
If you think education is difficult, try being stupid!!!!

I cried with laughter reading this

Book: Read a Thon

UPDATE 1: It's 9.30 and i have just started reading.

Today i decided i am having a 24 hour read-a-thon (a bit like a marathon but with books and no running also i get to stay in bed all day, warm)
I woke up this morning made a brew and immediately started reading my book i am reading about Einstein, Its a great book.
I will be updating threw out the day every couple of hours then at 9.30 pm tonight i will finally post this blog post.

I am reading:
Einstein: His life and the universe by Walter Isaacson
The great train robbery: The untold story from the closed investigation files by Andrew Cook
Quantum of solace: The complete James Bond short stories by Ian Fleming
Highway Code

never forget the chocolate!!
Everything will be kept up to date on my Goodreads page LINK

UPDATE 2: Time for my first break 11.55 AM
I have been reading since 9.30 time to refresh the brew and stretch my legs.
Also make something to eat i have been eating chocolate all morning, as much as i like chocolate i need other food.
A much as i am trying to read their are so many distraction for me magazines, sometimes getting bored of the same book, computer, other blog posts i want to read, twitter, my dogs. I WILL NOT GIVE UP!

UPDATE 3: 15.41 pm Time to feel human
Even tho i have been reading all day and no one has seen me i still had to get a wash and brush my teeth.
I have been studying the Highway code (i am learning to drive. I class that as a book to read).
Made a brew and had sandwiches for dinner - ate more chocolate.
I have read properly for about 1 hour since my last post which is terrible so back to it now, no distractions!!!!
Oh and my husband came in with a Grazia magazine more distraction...Oh and the mags really poop!

UPDATE 4: Its 19.44 and i am still reading.
Well i have read a bit today i am not too happy with it i could have read a bit more (i am easily distracted) and i have only read one book as well. Shameful!
Also i had my tea but that only take 1/2 hour out of reading. (fishing for a defense here)
In my defense the writing is so tiny in this book you have to read it carefully to get the words right, there are a few sentences and pages i have had to read again just to understand them its a great book but you need to concentrate on it.
Einstein: His live and the universe by Walter Isaacson

Small writing and bad camera skills don't go together!

UPDATE 5: 22.53 The End!

Its about 11 at night and i have finally stopped reading.
Overall i am not very happy with myself i can usually get threw a few books when i do a read-a-thon but not this time stuck to one book and hardly read any of it. Not happy with ones self.

Wise words to yourself: Stop getting distracted, you do not need the internet as much as you use it. Get back into the groove of reading, you do that best.

BOOKS: Library Rentals

Rentals from the library

I have been very excited about this book
Albert Einstein is synonymous with genius. From his remarkable theory of relativity and the famous equation E=mc2 to his concept of a unified field theory, no one has contributed as much to science in the last century.

As well as showing how Einstein developed his theories, "Einstein" reveals the man behind the science, from his early years and experiments in Germany and his struggle to find work at the Swiss patent office to his marriages and children, his role in the development of the atomic bomb, and his work for civil rights groups in the United States.
Drawing on new research and personal documents belonging to Einstein only recently made available, this book also includes items of rare facsimile memorabilia, to show you more than this scientist's groundbreaking theories.

This is a modern version i am not too sure but i will read it anyway
The Great Train Robbery of 1963 is one of the most (in)famous crimes in British history. The bulk of the money stolen (equivalent to £40 million today) has never been recovered. There has not been a single year since 1963 when one aspect or another of the crime or its participants has not been featured in the media, and there is no sign that public interest in this subject is abating—quite the opposite, in fact. With the 50th anniversary approaching, interest will no doubt increase even more. The Great Train Robbery will examine new evidence (including previously classified documents from the Metropolitan Police, Home Office and Foreign Office) as to why such a meticulously planned crime failed during the getaway, how the establishment conspired to ensure harsh sentences, how the driver of the train was manipulated, and how the police investigation was mishandled, and will reveal what happened to the money

I got the wrong book but it sound good tho
Bringing together all of the James Bond short stories in one volume for the first time, this is the ultimate celebration of suave and deadly secret agent 007. Whether he's making an unexpected discovery in the Bahamas hunting down a Cuban hit man in wild country, smashing an international drug ring in Rome, on the trail of a murderous assassin in Berlin's sniper alley, dangerous missions and beautiful women come with the job for James Bond. And this agent is always a consummate professional.

This is a follow on from the Bond weeks i have been having check it out
i had a very busy week LINK I still have 6 books to read from the bong collection
 but its going great.
