Bailey's Diary

I am so sorry for the quietness from me I have had the worst week ever my dog Bailey passed away on the 8th August 2016, while I was at work.
When I came home at 7pm he was on the bathroom floor he was all alone, I wish I was with him I would have spoke to him and told him everything was going to be alright.... But I wasn't.
I am coming to terms with it very slowly he was my child, I am getting used to the loneliness.

We saved each other baby.

BOOK: The Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare

Clockwork Angel was great I instantly fell in love with Jem,
Clockwork Prince didn't have so much action in it, it was just about evolving characters and the storyline there where some bits that dribbled but it was still good.

The last one Clockwork Princess broke my heart i cried over Jem
(OMG FELL EMOTIONAL JUST THINKING ABOUT IT

Never expected the ending it really was a full circle.

Poem: Maud by Alfred Tennyson

Maud

Come into the garden, Maud,
    For the black bat, Night, has flown,
Come into the garden, Maud,
    I am here at the gate alone;

 And the woodbine spices are wafted abroad,
    And the musk of the roses blown.

For a breeze of morning moves,
    And the planet of Love is on high,
Beginning to faint in the light that she loves
    On a bed of daffodil sky,
To faint in the light of the sun she loves,
    To faint in his light, and to die.

All night have the roses heard
    The flute, violin, bassoon;
All night has the casement jessamine stir'd
    To the dancers dancing in tune;
Till a silence fell with the waking bird,
    And a hush with the setting moon.

I said to the lily, 'There is but one
    With whom she has heart to be gay.
When will the dancers leave her alone?
    She is weary of dance and play.'

 Now half to the setting moon are gone,
    And half to the rising day;
Low on the sand and loud on the stone
    The last wheel echoes away.
I said to the rose, 'The brief night goes
    In babble and revel and wine.

 O young lord-lover, what sighs are those
    For one that will never be thine?
But mine, but mine,' so I sware to the rose,
    'For ever and ever, mine.'
And the soul of the rose went into my blood,
    As the music clash'd in the hall;
And long by the garden lake I stood,
    For I heard your rivulet fall
From the lake to the meadow and on to the wood,
    Our wood, that is dearer than all;
From the meadow your walks have left so sweet
    That whenever a March-wind sighs
He sets the jewel-print of your feet
    In violets blue as your eyes,
To the woody hollows in which we meet
    And the valleys of Paradise.

The slender acacia would not shake
    One long milk-bloom on the tree;
The white lake-blossom fell into the lake,
    As the pimpernel dozed on the lea;
But the rose was awake all night for your sake,
    Knowing your promise to me;
The lilies and roses were all awake,
    They sigh'd for the dawn and thee.

Queen rose of the rosebud garden of girls,
    Come hither, the dances are done,
In gloss of satin and glimmer of pearls,
    Queen lily and rose in one;
Shine out, little head, sunning over with curls.
    To the flowers, and be their sun.
There has fallen a splendid tear
    From the passion-flower at the gate.

 She is coming, my dove, my dear;
    She is coming, my life, my fate;
The red rose cries, 'She is near, she is near;'
    And the white rose weeps, 'She is late;'
The larkspur listens, 'I hear, I hear;'
    And the lily whispers, 'I wait.'
She is coming, my own, my sweet;
    Were it ever so airy a tread,
My heart would hear her and beat,
    Were it earth in an earthy bed;
My dust would hear her and beat,
    Had I lain for a century dead;
Would start and tremble under her feet,
    And blossom in purple and red.

BOOK: Salmon Fishing in the Yemen by Paul Torday

Salmon fishing in the Yemen

BOOK PLOT: What does it take to make us believe in the impossible?
For Dr. Alfred Jones, life is a quiet mixture of civil service at the National Centre for Fisheries Excellence and marriage to Mary—an ambitious, no-nonsense financier. But a strange turn of fate from an unexpected direction forces Jones to upend his existence and spend all of his time in pursuit of another man’s ludicrous dream. Can there be salmon in the Yemen? Science says no. But if resources are limitless and the visionary is inspired, maybe salmon fishing in the Yemen isn’t impossible. Then again, maybe nothing is.

My Opinion: I had put this book off for so long but I don't know why because it was a great book easy read and not a complicated story.

BOOK: The Time Of My Life By Patrick Swayze

My opinion: I like everyone else had madly over the year fell head over heel's in love with Patrick Swayze and I was so excited when finding this book in a charity shop.....
Then I started reading it and it made me very angry, he made me very angry!
I don't know if I read it wrong but to me it sounded like he forced his wife to marry him. He was a very insecure man with a very pushy mother who made his insecurities worse.
I did finish the book and the ending was pretty sad how he was always talking about fighting the cancer and surviving.
I finished reading this book anyway, I felt very sad and sorry for Lisa her own career was over shadowed by him and his career the book left me wanting to know more about Lisa not Patrick.
My illusions about him are well and truly shattered he was a self obsessed, ignorant insecure man.

BOOK: The Silk Factory by Judith Allnatt

My Opinion:
I really liked this book I only put it down to walk the dog for a hour and finished it in one sitting. The ending I didn't expect but it sounds just like me. I also like how the stories intertwine each other from modern day to old fashioned and still made sense.
I recommend this book to everyone.

Book Plot:
Rosie Milford inherits a house in an old silk factory after her mother’s death and moves there with her young children. The discovery of a shocking truth about her own childhood, when she is already reeling from the breakup of her marriage, fills her with distrust and fearfulness. Then she starts seeing a strange child, wandering in the garden, who seems as lost as she is.
In 1812, silk master Septimus Fowler has grand plans to keep his factory in step with the industrial revolution: he will plant mulberry trees, rear silkworms and import new mechanized looms. Orphan Beulah Fiddement works as a bobbin winder and has secrets that the master would go to any lengths to get. Caught up in a dark adult world of illicit love, rebellion and revenge, Beulah must put away her childhood and draw on all her spirit to protect those she loves.
Beulah’s story of guilt and bravery will echo down two centuries and change Rosie’s life as she struggles to overcome the hand of her own past and find redemption.
