Giving Back

Imagine waking up tomorrow with no clean water, no home, and no way to feed your children. For millions around the world, this isn’t a nightmare — it’s reality. But here’s the truth: we can make a difference. Supporting charities isn't just about giving money — it's about giving hope, creating change, and standing up for humanity.

In this post, I want to share why supporting charitable organizations is one of the most powerful ways to make a positive impact — and how even small actions can lead to big change, if you keep reading you will find some of the charities I support but remember there are plenty more out there so pick your favorite and make a small donation or share the page.

Book Trust

Every child deserves the joy of discovering their first favorite book — the one that makes them laugh, dream, and believe in magic. But for many families across the UK, books are a luxury they simply can’t afford.

That’s where BookTrust comes in it’s a lifeline for children who might otherwise miss out on the chance to fall in love with reading. Through free book packs, reading resources, and support for families, BookTrust gives every child the opportunity to start life with stories.

 Aqua Box

Can you imagine going days without safe water to drink, cook with, or clean wounds? For millions caught in disasters or conflict zones, clean water is not a basic right — it’s a desperate need. AquaBox is a volunteer-led charity that sends life-saving water filtration systems and emergency aid to people affected by natural disasters, war, and displacement.

Access to clean water can be the difference between illness and survival. By supporting AquaBox, you’re not just donating equipment — you’re giving hope, dignity, and health to those who need it most.

A Smile Can Change a Life:   Smile Train

A smile is something most of us take for granted — but for a child born with a cleft lip or palate, it can be the difference between isolation and acceptance, sickness and health, silence and speech. Smile Train empowers local doctors in over 70 countries to provide free cleft surgery and essential care to children who need it most. These life-changing procedures don’t just transform faces — they transform futures. Without treatment, children with clefts often face malnutrition, difficulty speaking, and social stigma. But with one simple surgery, many of these challenges can be overcome.

Plan International

Around the world, millions of girls are denied the chance to go to school, speak up, or decide their own future — simply because they were born female. Plan International is a global charity fighting for every child’s right to learn, lead, decide, and thrive — with a strong focus on empowering girls and tackling the barriers they face. From ending child marriage to providing education in crisis zones, their work reaches the most vulnerable communities across 80+ countries.

When you support Plan International, you’re not just donating to a cause — you’re standing up for girls who want to stay in school.
