The Thirteenth Tale by Dianne Setterfield

***** 5 Star rating

This book kept me up till 4 in the morning.
The twist and turns are in credible and I never once saw that ending coming.
I loved it when she was describing her bookshop and books in general it felt like you could of really been there.
She is very powerful with her words and describes things perfectly.
Amazing book. Recommended to everyone.

Poem - Am Not Old by Samantha Reynolds

 Am Not Old

I am not old…she said

I am rare.

I am the standing ovation

At the end of the play.

I am the retrospective

Of my life as art

I am the hours

Connected like dots

Into good sense

I am the fullness

Of existing.

You think I am waiting to die…

But I am waiting to be found

I am a treasure.

I am a map.

And these wrinkles are

Imprints of my journey

Ask me anything.

BOOK: Witch Child by Celia Rees

My Opinion: I can't stop talking about this book it is great easy read.
There are some parts where I skipped the religious jabber and get back to the story of the witches'. Everyone must read highly recommend if your going threw a bit of a reading slump like I was.

Book Plot:
Enter the world of young Mary Newbury, a world where simply being different can cost a person her life. Hidden until now in the pages of her diary, Mary's startling story begins in 1659, the year her beloved grandmother is hanged in the public square as a witch. Mary narrowly escapes a similar fate, only to face intolerance and new danger among the Puritans in the New World. How long can she hide her true identity? Will she ever find a place where her healing powers will not be feared?

Bailey's diary 🐕

As you all know I have a dog called Bailey  he is a cavalier King Charles and as you all know aswell I have recently moved to the lake district to be closer to family, Cumbria is where I was born.
Anyway Bailey is getting used to the lakes and the endless walks and trails we keep going on.

Here's a few pictures do you think he looks happier?

BOOK: Chestnut Street by Maeve Binchy

This book is a great easy read, it kept me wanting to know about the crazy neighbor's in the street.
I read this in two days only because I had to work..... 📚

Bailey's diary

Today I visited a park I didn't even know was their I have lived behind it for nearly 5 years now how crazy is that.
Me and my friend Jenny have been trying to plan a get together for a while now but with me moving and working her going free-lance the both of us just couldn't catch 2 minutes.
It was very spur of the moment we decided by 11 am and out the door by one hahaha their the best days.
We went to Marbury Country Park Click here

So I grabbed the dog and a sandwich and we headed out for a very muddy, wet walk and I loved every second of it.
I didn't even mind when she clouted me on the head with her brolly fussing the dog.

We both really needed it she was stressed because free-lance had died down over Christmas and she had a bit of family trouble with her mother.
I needed it for sure I am moving on the 16th November and it is so stressful the dog is going crazy my family has gone all silent and I'm just worrying.

The dog needed it because he just did he knows something is going on, the house is a mess and he keeps getting under my feet and running away from boxes.

We all needed it and it was great, we slept that night.
After that we went for coffee at the local garden centre and we had a giant slab of chocolate cake between us (yummy) we also had a very funny talk about MEN! As us woman do over coffee and cake.
(Inside joke) Ducks and depression... 😂
